How not to let airdrop crash the project

For new projects launching we know that one of the ways of bringing more people into the community or creating more awareness, which could bring in more investors is airdrop strategy; where the early users or those that contributed to the growth of the community/project are rewarded with some tokens. Below is my suggestion;

The team should plan for what happens after the airdrop concludes. The team should Consider how to maintain user engagement and retention, as well as leverage the momentum generated during the airdrop. There should be post-airdrop strategy to keep participants actively involved with the project. Also depending on the teams plan, I will suggest that there be some vesting for the airdrop , which could be to linearly release the airdrop allocations to the eligible individuals so as not to experience dump in price of token.
