Development and Marketing Update July 2024

Development Update

Significant progress was made in addressing various bugs, adding new features, and performing necessary maintenance tasks in the past few weeks. These efforts enhance our platform’s functionality, user experience, and stability. Thank you to the community for your patience and support as we continue to improve our services.

Below you can find some of the issues worked on during this period, some of which were completed, and others are in the final stages of development, revision, testing, and deployment.

Bug Fixes

  1. Aphrodite Pool USDC Approval Error
  • Issue: Users received the error message “Please reset the allowance to 0” when approving USDC on the Aphrodite Pool.
  1. File a Claim Issue
  • Issue: Users attempting to file a claim were prompted to sign in, but the wallet was not triggered for signing.
  1. Claim Raising Error
  • Issue: Users encountered “Something went wrong” errors when attempting to raise a claim for cover.
  1. USDC Token Image Loading Issue
  • Issue: The USDC token image was not loading on the Aphrodite pool.
  1. Double Refresh Redirection Bug
  • Issue: Users were redirected to the Buy Cover screen after a double refresh on the My Policies page.
  1. Rate Limiting by Infura Keys
  • Issue: An endpoint was getting rate limited by Infura keys.
  1. Rollux testing pool Issues
  • Issue: Several bugs in the Rollux pool in the test phase, including:
    • Collateral not being deducted from the app when harvesting rewards.
    • APR % is showing as zero across the app.
    • The screen goes blank after a successful withdrawal.
    • Undefined error during staking.

New Features

  1. Admin Panel Logo Support
  • Feature: Added support for adding logos for new policies on the admin panel.
  • Benefit: Administrators can now easily add and manage policy logos, enhancing visual clarity and branding. This also created more autonomy to our BD team, and agility in adding new individual coverage options for our users.

Chores

  1. DAO Stabilization
  • Task: Stabilize the DAO on Sepolia and ETH mainnet, which went down due to both smart contract failures and subgraphs that went offline.
  1. ‘My Transactions’ Table Alignment Fix
  • Task: Fix alignment issues on the ‘My Transactions’ table.

UX Revamp

Currently, the UX flow is being taken apart and redesigned to make it more intuitive and user-friendly. We are some weeks away from implementation, but we’d like to share a sneak peek of what’s coming:

Rollux Progress

Contracts are being tested and deployed. The team will be finalising safety tests in the next weeks. We are preparing some exciting integrations for liquidity on Rollux.


Marketing Updates

The marketing team has been dedicated to elevating our brand presence, forming strategic partnerships, and deepening community engagement. We are also excited to welcome a new core contributor, Vishesh, to our marketing team. Here are some of the key highlights and initiatives we’ve undertaken::

1. New Partnerships

Our commitment to expanding our network and providing more value to our community has led to exciting new partnerships:

  • Port3 Network: By leveraging Port3’s social data analysis and oracle solutions, we aim to enhance our community engagement and data-driven marketing strategies. More about Port3.

2. Visit to EthCC Event

Our team recently attended the EthCC event, a premier Ethereum community conference. This visit was instrumental in networking with industry leaders, exploring new opportunities, and sharing our vision for the future of decentralized coverage.

3. Listing on DAOBase

We are excited to share that we have been listed on DAOBase. This listing will increase our visibility within the decentralized finance community and attract more users to our platform.

4. Launch of Block Alerts’ Social Media Handles

We have officially launched the social media handles for Block Alerts. Follow us for the latest updates, insights, and exclusive content about the blockchain industry and our initiatives.

5. Website Revamp

We have completed a comprehensive revamp of our website to enhance user experience, streamline navigation, and provide a more visually appealing interface. This update reflects our commitment to continuously improving our platform for our users.

Looking Ahead

As we move forward, we are excited about the upcoming launch of our Zealy campaign, which aims to further engage our community. We are also in the process of onboarding a new roster of KOLs to amplify our message and expand our reach across social media. Additionally, our collaboration with partners specializing in AI-driven security solutions will fortify our platform’s defences, while innovative blockchain solutions will drive efficiency and enhance user experience. this is nice but I would love to see that dApp side of things, focused on users not on investors, to get revamped as well… preferrably before we do any marketing

Partnership announcement are very vital and important as it brings a cross promotion between the project and others to further enhance the development…The zealy campaign is also an amazing way to get more people into the Dao

Okay, seems good

But regarding the marketing, we’ll need to build a strong community first and the dapp should not be focused on investors alone
